Handwriting Without Tears ® |
|
Jan Olsen, an Occupational Therapist and Handwriting Specialist developed Handwriting Without Tears® more than 25 years ago. Handwriting Specialists at Center for Rehabilitation & Development use Handwriting Without Tears® to teach children pre-writing and handwriting skills by using child friendly language and fun teaching techniques. All children can learn to write as an automatic and natural skill using this approach.
The Handwriting Without Tears® Program is not formal handwriting instruction. The program is a structured, yet informal way of building a foundation of readiness in children. Handwriting Specialists use music and manipulatives to teach pre-writing and handwriting skills as well as other important skills to prepare children for school readiness.
